Why should I have my PC serviced?
The benefits of a computer service are many. Left unattended. your PC can suffer, it will eventually go mad! Oh they’re great tools but they can’t look after themselves. Every so often they need a service to keep them running smoothly. You rely on your computer, give it some TLC and book a service now.
The Temperature Check … PCs need to operate within certain temperatures, preferably cool, so it’s important that it has good airflow circulating around it’s components. We’ll run a temperature check to identify any issues. An exterior and internal clean of vents, fans and other components will ensure airflow is optimum. High processor temperatures can slow your PC down considerably and cause instability or program and system crashes. It will also, eventually see the early demise of your processor. We’ll take the correct action to put this right.
Disk and Memory checks will highlight issues with these essential components. If there are problems, we can then advise on the correct way forward.
Viruses, Spyware, Adware and Malware can be residing on your PC without you knowing. With our powerful software we will identify and quarantine or remove any viruses identified. This makes your privacy safer and your PC run more smoothly. Classic symptoms tend to be slowdowns and occasional, if not regular, mad behaviour.
We’ll clean all external ports so that contacts are as trustworthy as can be. A good connection to peripherals of any kind is essential for fast error free running.
We’ll review your device drivers and update where we deem necessary. Device drivers are small programs that allow the PC to talk to it’s different parts. Running the most optimal driver will give your PC the edge.
Another area we will review is your Start up and Background processes. Often when software is installed it can install a program which starts up when you start the PC. This could be anything but often it is monitoring software that might tell you that there is an update for a particular program for example, they can be troublesome. Over time you can end up with a number of these processes which use up resources and cause issues during your daily use. We’ll cut these down to just those that are needed and free up valuable resources.
